TV followers are loving Prime Video‘s new comedy-drama Overcompensating, with many watching all eight episodes of the “unimaginable” sequence in a single sitting. 

Created by and starring Benito Skinner, the semi-autobiographical sequence follows the “wild” and “chaotic” journey of closeted former soccer participant Benny as he navigates school life in a brand new city. 

Viewers have been filled with reward for the brand new present on social media, with many hailing the drama because the “finest present” of 2025.

What’s Overcompensating about? 

The sequence follows Benny, a former highschool jock who begins to discover the thought of popping out of the closet when he begins school on the fictional Yates College.

Will there be a second season of Overcompensating?

Prime Video has but to make any bulletins in regards to the present’s future. Nonetheless, Skinner shared his hopes for a second season in an interview with Selection. 

“I actually hope we do [get a second season]. I’m able to go,” he mentioned. “I feel I do know what I need to do and there is a lot extra we wanna say.”
