Fats Joe is mourning the lack of the lady he known as his world — his mother, Marie Del-Carmen Cartagena, has died.

The rapper posted a tribute on social media on Saturday with a heartfelt message and a collection of pictures honoring her life.

He wrote … “This an actual one, relaxation in peace to the lady who introduced me on this world. She didn’t have a lot however she gave us all the pieces.”

Joe mirrored on his mother’s energy and devotion to her household and neighborhood. He says she selected to stay residing within the initiatives for years, regardless of his monetary success, due to her deep love for her neighbors.

Within the emotional submit, Joe says she died of a “damaged coronary heart.” Her demise comes months after her husband, Ernesto died in February. “My Dad wished her with him. I attempted all the pieces humanly potential,” Joe wrote.

He ended the submit with a strong promise … “Mommy until I see you once more, you had been my world, my coronary heart, my all the pieces. I’ll proceed to make you proud.”

Over time, Fats Joe has spoken about his shut bond along with his mom. In January, he celebrated her birthday by calling himself a “momma’s boy” and praising her for being a warrior who beat most cancers and stood by him by each chapter of his life.
