Right now marks 50 years since Australia switched onto Color Tv.
The Nationwide Movie & Sound Archive has unearthed a promotional clip wherein Graham Kennedy – in attribute fashion – demonstrates some great benefits of Color TV to legendary Sir Eric Pearce.
The footage, produced in full color by GTV for the 1968 Royal Melbourne Present, has by no means been broadcast.
In one other clip Bert Newton, Patti McGrath, Pete Smith, Joff Ellen and Mike Walsh contemplated the alterations that color tv would require from their on-air appearances.
