Paul Levinson’s Infinite Regress: Presumed Harmless 1.3: Sterling Performances

I used to be struck by the sterling efficiency of nearly each actor in Presumed Harmless 1.3 on Apple TV+.

[And here let me advise you not so much about spoilers, but that I saw the 1990s movie with Harrison Ford, and I’ll try not to in any way indicate the ending of that, because I have no idea if this series will end the same way.]

Listed here are a few of my favourite scenes on this episode:

  • Each scene that  O-T Fagbenle as DA Della Guardia is in.  He has an odd, compelling presence that I’ve by no means fairly seen earlier than, which makes him immediately memorable.
  • Noma Dumezweni because the tough-ass choose. Good
  • The scene through which Rusty (
Jake Gyllenhaal) falls in love with Carolyn (Renate Reinsve), as she gently works to make a little bit woman who might be testifying really feel secure
  • And, yeah, each scene with Invoice Camp as Horgan, former DA and Rusty’s legal professional

However the reality is each character shines on this sequence, Rusty’s spouse and their kids, the bartender initially of the episode, Peter Sarsgaard as ADA Molto.  I can not recall one other sequence through which each character was so vibrantly portrayed.

It occurred to me that Apple TV+ presently has two sequence — Presumed Harmless and Darkish Matter — located in Chicago.   The one factor lacking from Presumed Harmless is possibly a scene with one of many Jasons within the background.
